  • FACEBOOK SCANDAL

According to the UK regulator Facebook seriously breached the law by leaking data of public and the tress goes back to 2015 that found the social media giant fined GB£500000 (USD$645000).
Information commissioner's office who fined Facebook for leaking data to Cambridge Analytica and other app developers has said the figure would been higher but is the right figure when the offence took place

    NETWORKING

We sell ourselves by singing up to social media and our privacy data is meant to be stored securely on the servers and not to be distributed to other organisation for their interest use thanks to the watch dogs like (IOC) for monitoring any malecious events on social media. Facebook is an organisation that holds huge personal data than any other organisation but decided to leak public confidential by distributing data Cambridge Analytica that helped engineering some of the advertising election campaign in USA 2016.
People are busy networking, playing and consuming information on Facebook and the organisation diliberately target individual by selling data so that they also be targeted by other organisations for marketing purpose is absolutely sad, l know we all going to take it lightly but Facebook corse of action is totally unacceptable. I am not suprised people are taking this litely but it is an absolutely damage to all the organisation consumers and their`s not any way to get of it because a lot of us built business on the social media giant and we all have to read and hope we're not the targeted ones but no one knows the victims apart from the organisation itself and (ICO).

THE USE OF DATA FOR ELECTION CAMPAIGN

Consumers bring enough business by being active users everyday and hope for their data to be documented whilst they consume, play and network, Facebook should have known better not to sale personal data to anyone. Now no one knows if they dilibelately sold the data to munevour the election campaign in the USA, we all know medias have power that's why there's reguloters to monitor them, but the news come late and a little damage has been done to Facebook image as it is now the number one giant to all social media.

    QUIZ SCANDAL

Not only ones who signed to play quiz were targets but also the friends were targeted too, l personally think this was a little bit too much, it came out a little bit too late otherwise this would have been a major negative impact to Facebook if it was announced thereafter but who knows probably ICO had not gathered all the evidence they needed to approach Facebook for the misuse of data.
